| BLACK & WHITE PERCULA CLOWN 3.5CM |
 |
In the wild, this distinctive clownfish
is only found near Darwin N.T. These captive bred
specimens are well suited to marine aquaria, hardy and
easy to feed. They are best kept as a pair with
other community species. The larger females grow
to 8-9cm, males remaining smaller. When choosing
two clownfish, randomly selecting a larger and a smaller
representative of the batch will often result in a pair. |
| SOUTHERN KNIGHT SEAHORSE (H. ABDOMINALIS) |
 |
Also known as the Pot-bellied Seahorse,
this species is ideal for a temperate (unheated) marine
aquarium, preferring temperatures less than 22 C. (If
temperatures go higher, provide strong aeration). These
captive bred specimens readily eat frozen foods such
as Mysid Shrimp and Brine Shrimp. Native to South-east
Australia, they can grow to 25cm, but are usually much
smaller in aquaria. Background colour of individuals
may be white, yellowish or olive. |
